ARTworks

About

CUE’s ARTworks program (formerly Modern ArtWorks) gives elementary through high school students in New York City the opportunity to experience contemporary art, and creatively respond to it by making and exhibiting their own work. Students visit CUE with their fellow classmates and participate in an on-site workshop led by the exhibiting artist and/or an arts educator who helps them discuss the art in the gallery. In the weeks following their visit, students create their own paintings and sculptural works. CUE ARTworks are priced at $50 each. All proceeds from sales are divided between the artist/student and their school.

The 2010 ARTworks and Joan Mitchell's Saturday Studios Program exhibition will take place May 27 - June 4th, 2010.
There will be an opening reception on Tuesday, May 27th, from 6:00-8:00pm hosted by CUE.
The Joan Mitchell Foundation will host a closing party on Friday, June 4th from 5:30-8:00pm.
