JURYING AND GUIDELINES:

A panel of (3) professionals in the arts and representatives from CUE select the winning proposals. Proposals are judged on the rotating criteria, relative to that year's theme and requirements. General criteria include:

1. Originality of concept

2. Understanding of the concept and ability to create a proposal that responds thoughtfully and provocatively to these ideas

3. Artistic excellence as demonstrated by past work and the submitted qualifications

4. Clarity of objectives

5. Availability to meet the project timeline

6. Submission of a practical and realistic budget 

Submissions that fail to complete the application correctly will not be considered.

NOTE: THERE IS A VERY MODEST ENTRY FEE FOR SUBMITTING TO CUE OPEN CALLS

ACCEPTANCE AND NOTIFICATION:

Whether the work is selected or not, all submissions will be reviewed and artists will be notified within six months of the deadline.
