Internships

CUE provides internships in the following areas:

Arts Administration & Programs

The Arts Administration & Programs Intern works closely with all the staff members at the Foundation on a wide range of tasks including exhibitions, arts education, professional development programming, database management, gallery maintenance and visitor services. The internship is geared toward someone who is keen on learning the many aspects of running a non-profit arts organization.

Interns must be passionate about CUE's mission, and have an interest in contemporary art and non-profit organizations. Interns should have solid research skills, basic knowledge of Filemaker Pro, Microsoft Office, and Wordpress, as well as familiarity with social media outreach. Pleasant and professional demeanor-on the phone, in print and in person-is expected. HTML, Photoshop, and critical, arts-related writing/blogging skills are a plus.

Please send a resume and a cover letter expressing interest to jessica.gildea@cueartfoundation.org. Interns are expected to commit 15 - 30 hours per week for 3 to 6 months. This internship is unpaid, but academic credit can be arranged.

Development

The Development intern works closely with the Development Director and Development Assistant on fundraising, marketing, and special events. The intern will assist primarily with coordination of the annual benefit to be held in November 2011, but also with the production of new marketing materials, the research and writing for foundation and government grants, and many other tasks.

Interns must be passionate about CUE's mission, and have an interest in contemporary art and non-profit organizations. Interns should be able to work independently, have solid research, writing, communication, and budgeting skills, and be extremely organized. Pleasant and professional demeanor -- on the phone, in print, and in person -- is expected. The internship provides an exceptional opportunity to become immersed in a bustling organization and offers hands-on experience for those interested in a career in development, marketing, communications, or administration in the arts.

Please note: We are not currently seeking Development interns.

Interns are expected to commit 15-20 hours per week for 3 to 6 months. This internship is unpaid, and academic credit can be arranged.
